We offer competitive wages, great benefits, and an excellent work-life balance.Purpose: To prepare excellent quality breakfast and dessert items in a timely and efficient manner: to accurately follow recipes; to assess and produce what is needed each day; support with catering events on site as needed.Status: Reports to Assistant Bakery ManagerCustomer Service:Assists customers with questions in a prompt and courteous mannerProvide attentive and courteous customer serviceMaintain a polite, friendly and helpful attitude towards internal and external customersProduct Knowledge:Knowledgeable about all bakery products. Continues to learn about new products. Ability to answer questions accurately.Product Presentation and Quality:Ensure quality food preparation, presentation and executionSafety:Handles all equipment in a safe mannerAlert to unsafe equipment and removes any equipment that is unsafe from usageTeamwork:Ensures department teamwork through trust and communicationAccountability:Accepts responsibility for personal decisions and actions. Exemplifies honesty, integrity and ethicsContributes constructively to the morale of the departmentShows initiative in solving issues and achieving the departmental goalsJob Specific Functions:Preparation of all bakery items promptly and efficiently as assignedFacilitating all aspects of service, supporting catering events, and meals as needed including: maintaining the desserts and bakery rack items during store hoursEnsure and facilitate kitchen cleanliness as needed or assignedEnsure that equipment is well maintained, and to notify appropriate personnel of any equipment failures or malfunctions in a timely fashionPut away orders – follow receiving protocols as defined in trainingEnsure high quality of products, and quality standardsAccurately follow recipes using proper measurements with a mind to menu specific alterations as directed by a supervisorMaintain appropriate par levels of productMaintain clean and orderly work stationsPlan and participate in cleaning projects as assignedAdhering to the site's code of conduct as defined during trainingProvide training to new team members as assignedAdhere to established safety and sanitation standardsWash own dishes throughout shift, support dishwasher with bakery itemsAccurately inputting shrink data as neededAble to work in freezing temperatures to hot temperatures. Going from the kitchen to walk in freezer and back to collect ingredients as necessary.Able to stand for long periods of time, on your feet all shift up to 8 hrs a dayOther duties as assignedRequirements:Self-motivated, organized, responsible, flexibleEffective communication skillsProfessional baking experience; 3-5 years practical application.
